Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to CalenderZW timetable pages, administrator tools, calendar feeds, downloads, optional Google Calendar connection, and support services available through calender.aido.co.zw. CalenderZW is operated by aiDo in Zimbabwe.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect account email, institution and class selections, timetable submissions, reminder preferences, reports, and support messages. Students can view public timetables and download public calendar files without creating an account.
Information collected automatically
For security and reliability we may process device or browser type, operating system, approximate region, server IP logs, page interactions, diagnostics, timestamps, anonymous session identifiers, subscription identifiers, and feed retrieval timestamps.
3. Google Calendar data
If you choose direct Google Calendar synchronisation, CalenderZW requests the narrow Google Calendar permission that lets the app create a separate secondary calendar and create, change, or delete events only on calendars created by CalenderZW. That permission is used for timetable events, reminders, updates, cancellations, one-off class changes, recovery, and disconnect actions associated with that app-created calendar.
CalenderZW does not use this permission to list, read, analyse, modify, or delete events from your pre-existing personal calendars. CalenderZW does not request broad access to all of your Google Calendar events.
To keep an approved connection working, Google may issue a refresh token. CalenderZW stores that refresh token encrypted server-side while the connection remains active. Short-lived Google access tokens are used server-side to call Google Calendar and are not exposed to the browser or stored in analytics. Disconnecting deletes CalenderZW's stored credential and requests revocation of the Google authorization.
CalenderZW's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not sold, used for targeted advertising, or shared with unrelated third parties.
Information obtained through Google Workspace APIs is not used to develop, improve, or train generalised or non-personalised artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Calendar subscriptions
Private calendar feed URLs are capability links. Anyone possessing one may be able to view the timetable feed. CalenderZW stores hashed feed tokens and supports feed revocation. Do not publish a private subscription URL in a class group; share the public timetable link instead.
If you optionally add a phone number for important timetable updates, it is stored with explicit update consent. Phone contact is not placed in analytics events, calendar feed URLs, or public timetable responses.
5. Use and sharing
We use data to show timetables, create calendar files and subscriptions, apply reminders, process reports, provide support, protect the service, diagnose failures, comply with law, and improve user-facing features. We do not sell personal information or Google user data, and Google user data is not used for targeted advertising.
6. Retention and security
Public timetable audit history may be retained for accuracy. Optional provider credentials and subscriber contact details are retained only while the relevant connection or consent remains active. Safeguards include HTTPS requirements, encrypted server-side Google credentials, access controls, API validation, and hashed private-feed tokens.
7. Your choices
You can use one-time .ics imports or supported subscription options without direct Google Calendar connection, disconnect optional integrations, request feed revocation, and request deletion through the Data deletion page.
